bought this old scrap book at a sale this summer out on Richwood road north of Detroit Lakes.  It is a grainy surface to draw on and i enjoy the old coloring.  most i can do on it is draw, no taking back too much with an eraser but i usually stay clear of that most times anyways.  i practice mainly with a pen because i find once i add another component, such as an eraser, i take away from the attention i pay to actually looking intently into what i am drawing.  when i do quick sketches, it is not so much what i get on the paper, but what joy i experience as i look at something that excites my motion to draw it.
